On Saturday 31 May 2025, we had the pleasure of accompanying Merveilles and Jacob at their wedding in Neuchâtel. The couple live in the United States and chose to come back to Switzerland to celebrate the day with their loved ones.
From getting ready at the Hôtel Beaulac in Neuchâtel to the outdoor religious ceremony at the Château de Colombier and the evening reception at Espace Perrier, the day was a journey between Swiss elegance and American inspiration.
Partial planning from a distance
Planning a wedding in Switzerland while living in the United States naturally takes a particular kind of organisation.
So Merveilles and Jacob chose to entrust us with part of the planning. As their wedding planners, we supported them where they needed it, especially in finding certain suppliers and preparing everything needed for the day to run smoothly.
On the day itself we took care of coordination: we were the link between all the suppliers, kept to the schedule and handled the details and the unexpected behind the scenes.
The aim was simple: to let the couple fully enjoy their wedding and their guests, knowing that a team was there to make sure everything ran smoothly.
An elegant ceremony at the Château de Colombier
The religious ceremony took place outdoors, in the beautiful setting of the Château de Colombier near Neuchâtel.
In an atmosphere that was elegant, intimate and glamorous all at once, the couple shared a particularly warm moment surrounded by their loved ones.
The historic setting gave the ceremony a great deal of charm and contrasted perfectly with the more festive mood of the reception that followed.
A reception for 200 guests with an American touch
After the ceremony, almost 200 guests were expected at Espace Perrier to continue the celebrations.
Merveilles and Jacob wanted some of the hallmarks of a big American reception: structured organisation, an elegant reception and particularly attentive care for the guests.
Alongside our wedding planning, the couple also booked our event hostesses.
Present throughout the reception, they gave the guests an elegant and professional welcome and helped keep the evening running smoothly.
The decoration was simple and elegant, leaving plenty of room for the atmosphere and the different moments of the reception.
A rehearsal, just like in the United States
One of our favourite memories of this wedding will always be the rehearsal on the Friday evening.
Being there with the couple and their loved ones helped us prepare for the next day’s ceremony and let us immerse ourselves even more in their world.
The rehearsal is a firm part of American wedding tradition, and for a few hours it felt as if we had crossed the Atlantic without leaving Neuchâtel.
An international and multicultural wedding
What also touched us deeply at Merveilles and Jacob’s wedding was the beautiful meeting of different cultures.
Throughout the celebration, the couple, their families and their guests moved naturally between French, English and Lingala.
That is also what we love about our work: accompanying couples with their story, their traditions and their own way of imagining their wedding.
From the intimate ceremony at the Château de Colombier to the reception for 200 people at Espace Perrier, the day was a true blend of cultures, elegance and conviviality.
